There are high-profile, veteran golfers like Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa and Rickie Fowler still seeking their first major in years of attempts at the 2025 U.S. Open, but golf's next generation is emerging with potential young stars like Ludvig Aberg and Sahith Theegala as well.

The 125th U.S. Open Championship will be played at the historic Oakmont Country Club just outside of Pittsburgh this week. This will be Oakmont’s 10th U.S. Open and the first since Dustin Johnson won his first major championship in 2016.

Scheffler is in absurd form, with three wins in his last four events, including at the 2025 PGA Championship last month. The 28-year-old has yet to win a U.S. Open, though he finished T2 in 2022. Defending champion and two-time winner Bryson DeChambeau is the second favorite at +700, making him the only other golfer in the single digits.
