In response to a wave of backlash this morning, Marvel has denied the use of AI in the creation of a new "Fantastic Four: First Steps" poster.

Soon after the first Fantastic Four trailer came out, Marvel had to deal with an unexpected AI controversy about a new poster.

Some posters that arrived with the first trailer for Fantastic Four: First Steps have been accused of using AI, but Marvel is denying that that's the case.

First Steps has been generated using AI. Others think it's just bad Photoshop, still others feel it's a bit of both.

You’ll remember that Marvel Studios did in fact use AI to create the opening sequence of its Disney+ series Secret Invasion as it fit the series’ shape-shifting plot. The show follows Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, who is investigating shape-shifting alien Skrulls who have populated Earth.

According to The Wrap, however, a spokesperson for Marvel has denied that AI was used in the creation of the posters. Marvel has used AI in the past however, with the opening credit sequence for the Disney Plus series Secret Invasion being entirely AI-generated.

Despite speculation on social media, Marvel did not use AI to create a new poster for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, the studio said Tuesday.
