Police in the Indian tech capital of Bengaluru said they had denied the British singer permission to perform on a busy street.

British superstar singer Ed Sheeran, after being unplugged by Indian police, insists he did have permission to busk in tech hub Bengaluru.

Ed Sheeran took to a busy street in southern India this weekend to surprise fans with a live performance but police soon swooped and pulled the plug on the British singer, saying he hadn’t received permission.
