TRAVERSE CITY, MI – Police have identified the man they believe entered a Walmart and stabbed 11 people at random. Bradford James Gille, 42, is in custody and awaiting arraignment on numerous charges in connection with the mass stabbing, police said at a press conference Sunday, July 27.
The Grand Traverse County sheriff and prosecutor, as well as officials from Munson Healthcare, provided more details on the random attack at a Walmart Saturday afternoon.
Gille is currently being held at the Grand Traverse County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday or Tuesday.
Bradford James Gille was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia decades ago, his mother told local paper. He had multiple run-ins with police.
