A Spider-Punk animated feature from Daniel Kaluuya & Ajon Singh is in development at Sony, Deadline has learned.

“Spider-Punk,” a spinoff of 2023’s animated hit “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” is in early development at Sony Pictures Animation. Daniel Kaluuya, who voiced the character in the comic book sequel, and Ajon Singh are developing and co-writing the feature.

Story details are still under wraps, but Kaluuya’s fan-favourite character is set to return in the upcoming Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the third film in the animated trilogy. Producers Phil Lord, Chris Miller and Amy Pascal, who are behind the core franchise, will also produce Spider-Punk.
