Tarik Skubal struck out 10 with no walks over seven innings and the bullpen held off the Phillies in a 7-5 victory.

The Phillies finally broke through against Skubal in the bottom of the seventh. After six shutout innings and 10 strikeouts, Skubal gave up a single to Bryce Harper, a double to J.T. Realmuto, and a two-run homer to Nick Castellanos to cut the lead to 5-3.

All-Star starter Tarik Skubal won his first game since June and Javier Baez homered, doubled and knocked in four runs as the Detroit Tigers beat the Philadelphia Phillies and ace Zack Wheeler 7-5.
