Smith, who listed the Pistons among his top-five destinations for veteran scorer Kevin Durant on a Monday, June 9 episode of ESPN's First Take: "KD with Detroit, imagine that!

ESPN NBA insider Brian Windhorst believes the Knicks are among a "handful" of contending clubs that will jostle to land Durant in the coming weeks. Windhorst expects the Suns to look into Durant's market "pretty soon," as the franchise recently has been focused on identifying a new head coach.

Draymond Green said on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week that the Warriors were "at the finish line" to acquire Kevin Durant before the deal ultimately fell through.

The San Antonio Spurs are one of the few teams capable of swinging a superstar-level trade this summer. They have young players, future draft picks and the ability to absorb a sizable contract. As such, the Spurs are seen as a potential landing spot for Kevin Durant.

For the two superstars, longtime ESPN host and NBA media personality Stephen A. Smith ranks Houston high on his list of potential trade destinations.
