Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant received a withering assessment from one NBA team executive as his future is the subject of speculation.

The Miami Heat were recently predicted to land Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant. ESPN NBA writer Zach Kram proposed a trade that would send Morant to Miami for Tyler Herro and Simone Fontecchio.

The Memphis Grizzlies are working hard to move Ja Morant and give both parties a fresh start as his era leading the franchise reaches the end. Morant showed unhappiness earlier in the season with comments criticizing the coaching staff.

Ja Morant's name is being brought up in trade rumors again, but this time there might be some actual momentum behind it. The Memphis Grizzlies are reportedly open to trade offers on the All-Star guard, per ESPN, a change in tune after initial reports surfaced in November of a possible divorce between the franchise and their prized player.

The 26-year-old earned a one-game suspension in November for “conduct detrimental to the team” after criticizing Memphis’ new coaching staff led by Tuomas Iisalo following an Oct. 31 loss to the Lakers.

The Milwaukee Bucks are trying to stay relevant with Giannis Antetokounmpo on board, and a trade swing at Ja Morant could be in the offing.
