The boss of Britain’s air traffic control service is facing calls to resign over what critics said was the latest in a string of failures under his watch.

Heidi Alexander said that she will meet with Martin Rolfe to ‘understand what happened and how we can prevent reoccurrence’.

Ryanair has called for Nats' chief executive Martin Rolfe to resign after the air traffic control fault on Wednesday. The airline claimed "no lessons have been learnt" since the August 2020 system outage.
