New episodes of “South Park” Season 27 are set to air on Comedy Central on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will be available to stream on Paramount+, but the season premiere did not hit the streaming platform until the day after, according to Paramount.

Following the premiere's two-week delay, Trey Parker and Matt Stone's animated series officially returned to TV and streaming on July 23.

Though South Park routinely goes through Paramount’s standards and practices, this particular episode was reportedly flagged for additional scrutiny. Producer Anne Garefino escalated it to Paramount executive Keyes Hill-Edgar, who then informed co-CEOs Chris McCarthy, George Cheeks, and Brian Robbins, Puck reported.
