UCLA is the latest major institution of higher learning to see promised research funding snatched away by the Trump administration, the university’s leader said in a letter to students Thursday.

The notice comes as the Trump administration has tried to exert pressure on universities over student protests about the war in Gaza.

UCLA has been notified that it will be losing some of its federal research funding over claims of “antisemitism and bias,” according to the school’s chancellor.
