Brandon Sproat didn't fare well in his start and the offense was quiet as the Brewers were blown out by the Astros on Saturday afternoon.

Jake Bauers provided all the offense with a two-run homer in the fourth, and Jacob Misiorowski threw seven more dominant innings to beat the Astros.

Jacob Misiorowski struck out eight in seven innings and Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill completed the three-hitter to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 2-0 win over the Houston Astros.

The Milwaukee Brewers are 36-21 on the season and lead the National League Central Division by 5.5 games. A huge part of their success thus far in 2026 has been their pitching staff. Of course, Jacob Misiorowski garners the most headlines and attention due to his consistent velocity and absurd strikeout numbers.

Houston shortstop Jeremy Pena routinely is lauded for his production and personality, and the Astros missed both while he spent 33 games on the injured list earlier this season because of a hamstring strain.

Cooper Pratt is in the midst of a 20-game on-base streak. The Milwaukee Brewers would be foolish not to promote him to the big leagues in the near future to determine whether or not an upgrade at the deadline is necessary.
