Jimmy Kimmel opened Tuesday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" show with a tribute to his longtime friend and bandleader Cleto Escobedo III, who died Tuesday morning at age 59.
“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” has honored Escobedo, the program’s house band leader who died Nov. 11 at age 59, by changing the musical group’s name. During the late night show’s title sequence on Monday’s episode, Cleto and the Cletones was officially rebranded as The Cletones.
“That was Friday,” Kimmel clarified, before then pointing out the Epstein scandal could “end his presidency” and calling him out for meeting with the prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, who was reportedly involved in the murder and dismemberment of journalist Jamal Khashoogi.
