The moon blushed Thursday night. Starting around 11:30 p.m. Thursday and lasting for about an hour, the first total lunar eclipse anywhere in the world since 2022 wowed much of Western Washington.

Mr Brown called the lunar eclipse, which goes for around six hours, "an amazing way to see the solar system in action". It's a new year and that means new astronomy events to look out for.
