US president Donald Trump's 25% tariff on imported steel and aluminium, effective March 4, aims to protect its domestic industry – but it will pose challenges for Vietnamese businesses.

While Vietnam is not the largest exporter of steel and aluminium to the US, domestic businesses will still face significant challenges due to this policy.

As the prices of eggs and meat soar, the steel and aluminum industry could soon also face challenges under President Donald Trump’s 25% tariffs on imported steel and aluminum. The tariffs aim to boost domestic production as Trump aims to decrease U.

The amount of goods would be about four times larger than the last time Trump targeted the bloc’s metals sector.
