John Sterling, the longtime radio and television voice of the New York Yankees, has died at the age of 87, WFAN radio announced on Monday, May 4.

John Sterling, a former Atlanta Braves and Hawks broadcaster who later became the radio voice for the New York Yankees, has died.

Sterling called 5,420 regular-season games, the last against Toronto on April 7, 2024.
