Finn Balor will go one-on-one with Tama Tonga on WWE SmackDown. The two have spoken in recent weeks, but things escalated last Friday when Tama and Talla Tonga attacked Balor backstage. Tama and Talla recently split from Solo Sikoa.

WWE has recently filed to trademark the nickname of one of its returning talents on the road to SummerSlam next month.

Last Friday’s Night of Champions go-home edition of WWE SmackDown averaged 1.206 million viewers on USA, up 1.3% from the previous week and their highest marks in five weeks. The show averaged a 0.22 rating in the 18-49 demo which was down 12% from the prior week and ties the second lowest rating it has done in that category since January 23.

WWE SmackDown viewership information for the July 3, 2026 episode. Wrestlenomics reports that WWE SmackDown on July 3 drew 1.064 million viewers on USA Network. This number is down from the 1.206 million viewers the show drew on June 26.
