Lady Gaga's new album, Mayhem, is bringing joy to Little Monsters everywhere - and now Swifties have entered the chat. After the album debuted Friday, March 7, fans of both pop stars soon started speculating that Taylor Swift made an uncredited guest appearance on the song "How Bad Do U Want Me.

Neither Gaga nor Taylor have confirmed whether the Tortured Poets Department artist had any involvement in the track. According to Mayhem ’s album credits, “How Bad Do U Want Me” was written by Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Gaga, and her fiancé, Michael Polansky.

Within hours of Mayhem ’s release, Twitter was abuzz with theories that, at their most coherent, suggest Swift was secretly featured on Gaga’s track, and, at their least coherent, make some use of the phrase “reheated nachos.

Her new album is a work of self-citation, rummaging around in Gaga’s own past for inspiration. It’s also, somehow, the freshest collection of songs she has released in years.

Appearing on Las Culturistas With Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang, Gaga revealed to the pair that she almost removed late-album standout “How Bad Do U Want Me” from the Mayhem tracklist. “Oh my god, I almost didn’t put that on the album,
