A $8 billion-dollar class action investors’ lawsuit against Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and company leaders begins, with claims stemming from the privacy scandal involving the Cambridge Analytica political consulting firm.

The lawsuit targets billionaires including Zuckerberg, Sheryl Sandberg, Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel and Reed Hastings—along with Biden’s former chief of staff.

An $8 billion trial by Meta Platforms shareholders against Mark Zuckerberg and other current and former company leaders kicked off on Wednesday over claims they illegally harvested the data of Facebook users in violation of a 2012 agreement with the U.
