The New York Mets pulled off one heck of a negotiation this past offseason, landing superstar outfielder Juan Soto on a massive 15-year, $765 million contract.

In his sole season with the Yankees — Soto was the centerpiece of a blockbuster with the San Diego Padres, who got Jhony Brito, Kyle Higashioka, Michael King, Drew Thorpe and Randy Vásquez in return — Soto had the best season of his career. In 157 games, he batted .288 and posted career-highs in slugging (.569), OPS+ (179), and home runs (41)
