The first NFL Draft pick from South Alabama, Everett played for USA in 2015 and 2016, joining the Jaguars when UAB dropped its football program after his single season with the Blazers in 2014. Everett is a free agent for the fourth time in his NFL career. This is the first time it has been involuntarily.

The Bears will be selecting 10th overall in the 2025 NFL draft. There are a slew of needs on the roster, most notably along the offensive line, where there are three (possibly four) starting spots up for grabs, outside of right tackle Darnell Wright.
