The 76ers won’t have an NBA All-Star for the first time in eight seasons. Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey were not among the players named as Eastern Conference All-Star reserves Thursday on TNT’s NBA Tip-Off show.

Nurse has been favoring the combination of Kyle Lowry and Reggie Jackson off the bench as of late and turned to the two proven veterans on Wednesday to join Tyrese Maxey out on the floor. What the three of them did was help turn the game around as the Sixers rallied to beat the Kings 117-104.

Tyrese Maxey has sure looked like an All-Star lately. If he’s not named as a reserve Thursday, expect him to be motivated but keep playing with joy.
