Garrett recently became the highest paid non-quarterback in NFL history after the Browns gave him a massive four-year deal to end his trade request saga this offseason.

Cleveland edge rusher Myles Garrett believes a trade request and voicing his frustrations during Super Bowl week about the Browns’ 3-14 campaign was the catalyst for more conversations with general manager Andrew Berry about the franchise’s future.

Garrett said his trade request and insistence that he was ready to play for a contender were "necessary" to further the conversation.
