As the polling on 70 assembly seats in the national capital is about to be concluded, all eyes are now on the exit poll predictions. The voters of Delhi are holding their breath, waiting for the exit poll predictions to be announced.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, the sitting MLA from the New Delhi constituency faces a contest from Congress' Sandeep Dikshit and BJP's Parvesh Verma.

The New Delhi seat, which includes Lutyens’ Delhi and serves as the heart of national politics, is one of the most prestigious constituencies. It was held by former CM Sheila Dikshit from 1998-2013.

As many as 1.56 crore voters can cast their ballots across 13,766 polling stations in the national capital. Of the voters, 83.76 lakh are men, 72.36 lakh are women, and 1,267 are third-gender voters.

Delhi sees slow early turnout As per the Election Commission of India (ECI), Delhi recorded a sluggish voter turnout of 8.10% by 9 am. The North East district reported the highest turnout at 10.70%, followed by South West at 9.34%. New Delhi district recorded one of the lowest turnouts at 6.51%.

Kejriwal stated, "Your vote is not just a button, it is the foundation of your children's bright future. It is an opportunity to provide good schools, excellent hospitals, and a respectable life to every family.
