Central Pennsylvania residents can expect a chilly and unsettled Memorial Day weekend, with temperatures remaining well below seasonal averages and a chance of light rain showers, particularly in northeastern parts of the state.

The Memorial Day weekend kicked off with a multi-day thunderstorm and heavy rainfall system hitting the south-central part of the country, forecasters said.
