Attorneys for a Maryland man erroneously deported to El Salvador are calling for his return to the United States , as El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele is set to visit the White House.

The Trump administration has authorized hundreds of prior deportations, some on the basis of little more than whether the subjects had tattoos or had worn clothing associated with a criminal organization.
