The FAA ordered airlines to cut thousands of flights as the agency deals with air traffic controller shortages during the government shutdown. The cuts began Friday morning.
Southwest has not released a list of airports affected by flight reductions. At least five Southwest flights in or out of Indianapolis were canceled for Friday on FlightAware. In most cases, Southwest will rebook passengers automatically, or travelers can proactively book a different flight.
