Utah Jazz provide a key injury status update on Keyonte George ahead of Tuesday night’s matchup against the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics lead the all-time series 64-47, but the Jazz earned a 105-103 win at Boston on Nov. 3. Boston is an 8.5-point favorite in the latest Celtics vs. Jazz odds from SportsLine consensus, while the over/under for total points scored is 240.

It looks like the Utah Jazz will have Keyonte George in the lineup after all vs. the Boston Celtics. According to an injury report update from the Jazz, George has been upgraded from questionable to active for their upcoming game against Boston after dealing with an illness heading into the contest.

The Jazz were slightly shorthanded Tuesday night, with Ace Bailey and Kevin Love missing the contest against the Celtics. Of course, Utah’s season took a major shift early in the year following Walker Kessler’s season-ending surgery, which forced Nurkić into a larger role than expected.

Against the Utah Jazz, the matchup they want is Keyonte George. He’s not physically imposing, often has bad technique, and is late to recognize actions. Boston hit him with a flurry of looks: pindowns, dribble handoffs, simple pick-and-rolls, and stack/Spain PNR looks. They almost always generated a good shot.

The Celtics have also ruled out Jayson Tatum as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles he suffered during the playoffs last season. He is expected to miss the season. Outside of these two players, the rest of Boston’s roster is healthy as it bids for its 20th victory.
