A man was critically injured in a shooting Monday evening on the West Side. The victim was shot in the back after a man got out of a black sedan and fired. No arrests have been made; Area Four detectives are investigating.

At least three people were killed and four others were hurt in weekend shootings across the city. The ages of the victims range from 16 to 39. In the first shooting of the weekend, a 17-year-old boy was on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of South King Drive around 6:30 p.m. when he was shot in the right leg by an unknown person.

A Chicago police officer shot a suspect in the Galewood neighborhood on Saturday night, authorities said. According to Chicago police, officers were called to disperse a large group in the 1900 block of North Austin at approximately 10:37 p.m. Saturday night.
