MOSCOW, Dec 11 (Reuters) - Russian air defences shot down 31 drones en route to Moscow on Wednesday evening and overnight, the city's mayor said. Sergei Sobyanin, writing on his Telegram channel, reported the drones being downed over a period of about 3-1/2 hours.
On the evening of December 10 and after midnight, an air alert was declared in Moscow and the Moscow region due to the threat of drones: a series of explosions took place in the region, authorities claim drone debris was shot down and fell, writes "Focus".
Russia on Friday accused Ukraine of attempting drone strikes on chemical facilities storing highly hazardous substances, claiming its air defences intercepted the attacks.
