Justin Rose willed himself back into contention for a green jacket but came up short at the end in a sudden-death playoff. Rose shot 6-under 66 during the final round of the 2025 Masters from Augusta National Golf Club to climb up the leaderboard and back into contention in a tie with leader Rory McIlroy at 11-under.

Rose was classy in defeat that day in 2017. He lovingly patted Garcia’s cheek, they embraced, and then Rose tapped Garcia on the heart. He knew what it meant for a talented Spaniard who had played 70 majors before winning.
