Dolphins general manager Chris Grier and coach Mike McDaniel have 10 picks to work with and may also look to select a tight end, safety quarterback and defensive end. Miami has the 13th pick in the next NFL Draft. In that draft slot in 2016 and 2019, Miami hit on offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and defensive tackle Christian Wilkins.

By the numbers, this week marks the 90th NFL Draft, the 60th for the Miami Dolphins and my 34th annual official Miami Herald Mock Draft. I did not invent the mock draft — gridiron historians credit late super-nerd Joel Buchsbaum for doing that circa late-1970s and ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. for bringing it to the forefront — but I was on the early wave.

After mining for draft nuggets and crafting one final forecast, B/R will finally be ready for the start of the 2025 NFL draft. In the old days, the Tennessee Titans would have made their selection known and likely had Miami quarterback Cam Ward signed before the start of the draft.
