The Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe celebrated its 26th annual Earth Day on Saturday at Oats Park.

Earth Day was founded 55 years ago by several U.S. congressmembers in response to rampant pollution. Decades later, people from all over the globe come together on Earth Day to celebrate our common home and advocate for sustainable policy.

Today, on the 55th anniversary of Earth Day, polls confirm that the great majority of Americans support increasing investment in renewables and the immediate deployment of all forms of renewable energy.
