President Donald Trump opened his latest golf course and held talks with Scottish First Minister John Swinney as he concluded his trip to Scotland on Tuesday.
Trump went on to say that he had golfed on Monday, and he had also “stopped the war” — appearing to reference Thailand and Cambodia agreeing to a ceasefire brokered by the president and Anwar Ibrahim, Malaysia’s prime minister, following roughly five days of fighting.
During the Scotland trip, Trump met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at his Turnberry golf course to announce an EU trade deal, and the president plans to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday for a new course in Aberdeenshire.
