Forecasters are keeping an eye on two additional systems in the Atlantic with potential for development later this week.

Where is Dexter heading next? The rotating center of Dexter was more than 250 miles west-northwest of Bermuda early Monday morning, according to the National Hurricane Center. Peak sustained winds within Dexter's core were estimated to be as strong as 45 mph,

This is just the fourth named storm in the Atlantic since the hurricane season began on June 1. Storms are named once they reach tropical storm status, which occurs when a storm reaches maximum sustained surface winds of at least 39 mph, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
