Gar Heard and Paul Westphal both finished with 21 points for Phoenix while Alvan Adams added 18 points and 20 rebounds. The win advanced the Suns to the NBA Finals for the first time in their 8 year existence. The top-seeded Warriors had finished 17 games ahead of the Suns in the divisional standings.
