2025 Honda HRV | Honda’s Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) uses either only a wide angle camera, or both a front camera and front radar through sensor fusion. I tested it on a 3rd gen Honda HR-V and it worked pretty well. The low speed automatic braking system works both in drive and reverse. It work up to 4 mph (6 or 7 kmh). DO NOT TRY IT over that speed it will not stop or react at all. During the 25 mph / 40 kmh AEB test I had my foot hovering the brake pedal but I never intervened.
