Hericium Coralloides has popped around my area! 🍄🥰 I highly recommend the hericium species for your plate or a homemade tincture! I don’t want to make a claim that isn’t 100% backed as I know there are many studies about the neural aspects! But there are enough saying we don’t know yet that I don’t want to base my love of this mushroom on the medicinal benefits alone. Was lucky enough to find some beautiful clusters of #BearsHeadTooth #Hericiumamericanum, a close relative of Lion’s Mane mushrooms. These are saprotrophic white rot decayers that grow on hardwood (I found these on beech), they are parasitic on their host tree but don’t kill the tree in the same way honey mushrooms do. They form shaggy multi-tiered clumps distinct from their more rounded relative. Medicinally, I would guess this species has similar properties to lions mane, although I haven’t see
