Hubert H. Humphrey (1911-1978) served as the 38th Vice-President of the United States from 1965 to 1969 under President Lyndon B. Johnson. He previously served as Senator of Minnesota from 1949 to 1964, and a position he would serve again after his Vice Presidency from 1971 until his death in 1978. Humphrey would serve as the Democratic Nominee for President of the United States in the 1968 Presidential Election with him running against Former Vice President Richard M. Nixon and Alabama Governor
