Xin Zhui is a mummified Chinese noblewoman that is over 2000 years old. There is a wax sculpture depicting what researchers thought she would have looked like when she was alive. It is estimated she died in 169 BC at the age of 49. Discovered in 1968 her body is notable as being one of the most well preserved mummies ever found. Scientists believe that three major factors helped preserve her body. First was the careful preparation of the body for burial, which slowed early stages of decompositio
