Life’s a beach at Colorado’s Great Sand Dunes National Park in the spring when Medano Creek is flowing past the dunes! Typically this occurs in late April, May and early June, with surge flows possible of up to 20 inches high. (This video was taken last May 28th.) Check the Great Sand Dunes website for the latest info about the current and forecasted flow.
