The Wallowa River is one of the best places to spot spawning kokanee, a favorite reminder of the changing seasons. You can watch salmon spawn at many places around the state, but the Wallowa River, where it runs into Wallow Lake, is very accessible. Just remember to tread carefully and leave the fish alone to do their business.
