🐢 Celebrating Assam’s Turtle Heritage this #WorldTurtleDay! 🌿 Assam is blessed with incredible turtle diversity — from the beautiful Assam Roofed Turtle to the rare Black Softshell Turtle, our wetlands and temple ponds are home to 21 unique species. Out of 21 species, 17 are found in Kaziranga, including the critically endangered black softshell turtle. Through temple pond conservation, community awareness, and rescue efforts, Assam is already taking steps forward. Let’s build on this momentum
