1,567 days of fighting cancer and 2024 was a crazy one but man are we blessed. Gavin was inpatient during 10 out of the 12 months. We had to travel to Philadelphia 9 out of the 12 months and Iowa city 10 out of the 12 months. In between all of the hospital stays and visits we did lots of traveling and had so many fun moments. Gavin became obsessed with roller coasters and wants to visit as many theme parks as he can in 2025. Our options may be getting limited but we stay hopeful for the future.

Yesterday we told Gavin about the CG5 concert, and he is so excited! We can’t thank our friend enough for reaching out to her connection who helped make it happen. He had bloodwork today and things looked okay. He ended up needing both a blood and platelet transfusion. We’re planning to go to the Iowa game on Saturday, so we’ll stop in for quick labs beforehand. What a day! The plan was for Michael, Gavin, and me to head to Iowa City for bloodwork after Michael worked half a day. But because of the UPS crash, Gavin’s medicine didn’t get delivered yesterday like it was supposed to. After bloodwork, we were planning to continue on to the Mall of America for a little weekend getaway. Michael ended up working until the medicine finally arrived this afternoon, so we just decided to leave one of our cars in Iowa City for the weekend. Gavin and I were running
