So today me and my friend Frankie visited a Chinese hair salon in NYC’s Chinatown of Flushing, Queens and totally shocked the staff when both of us all of a sudden started speaking in fluent Mandarin (and some Cantonese and Fuzhounese)! We also hung out in Flushing and got some great street food, bubble tea, and some snacks in the market, all while speaking Chinese! Frankie’s language learning story is actually really cool because he learned to speak Chinese by working in a hair salon in Flushin
