I haven’t seen Casey the same after making this connection… it seems obvious but I didn’t put two and two together until recently 🙈 The character of Casey comes from the 1888 poem “Casey at the Bat” by Earnest Thayer, which Disney made into an animated segment of Make Mine Music in 1946. The description I included of Sleepy Hollow Refreshments came from a pre-opening 1971 cast member handbook for Liberty Square. My apologies for my wonky highlighting, I was reading it while I was on a flight th
