7/30/20 - another fantastic day with one of our favorite species - the Northern Right Whale Dolphin! These are one of the only species of dolphin that do not have a dorsal fin (the other is the Southern Right Whale Dolphin). Extraordinary sighting of a northern right whale dolphin today! This is only our second recorded sighting in over 20 years of a northern right whale dolphin. This northern right whale dolphin was sighted swimming with sea lions and a pod of common dolphins. It went over to our catamaran Hoku Nai'a to bow ride for over 10 minutes.
